It did 'just push in' on the drivers side, passenger side was more stubborn.

Family member was helping me reinstall the rain tray in the Golf and though using a rubber mallet would help (I didn't see him get it).

O'Brien quoted $698 to come out and fit a new one (with rain light sensor).

I'm legit face palming over this. Having your windscreen replaced sucks. ASK ME HOW I KNOW.
