Bugger, sorry to hear!! Hope all works out well for you and soon and you don't take it to the same mob as CM did for his fixup.

Yeah no panel damage at all. I think what happened is my left front jumped up onto the kerb, but the rear left didn't have enough angle to do the same and copped some pretty heavy damage. Looking down the left hand side from the back, it's pretty obvious the rear is pointed outwards

On the bright side, the whole claim/tow/hirecar process has been very smooth. Also my hire car is a falcon xr6 - such a massive car but quite nice to cruise around in

Glad you are ok and your plans are in tact
CF has already been paid for lol! Yeah hope the replacement parts are in stock, I wouldn't be surprised if I actually damaged the suspension arms - it was a pretty decent whack. Will ask for a full report from the repairer when I pick the car up, hopefully within the next 2 weeks since that's how long I have the falcon for. Ploughman's lunch is definitely still on, rain hail or apocalypse

thanks, given that no cosmetic work is needed (which is still to my disbelief) even they should be able to do a pretty good job. The repairer recommended by NRMA in my first prang was top notch, absolutely flawless work (Autotech Smash Repairs in Artarmon).

My driver's door was dented in three places during its 45,000km service just before Xmas. Door has moved slightly as there is no longer the solid "thunk" sound when closing, and there is noticeable wind noise when driving at freeway speeds.

Booked in tomorrow to "have the door replaced" - we'll see if it's the whole door or just the door skin. Here's hoping they fix it properly the first time.

Windscreen O'Brien in Roseville. They said I could get an OEM screen in the next couple of days or a genuine in about 4 days. Either way insurance would pay for it. Genuine all the way.

Just want to add Autotech Smash Repairs are highly recommended by me. I got involved in a smash couple of months ago and these guys fixed my car back to its original state. Excellent workmanship and can't recommend them enough.

Speak to Jared if you haev problems, excellent person to deal with and seems to have great pride in his job.

I've parted company with my car while the rear bumper is being fixed following that incident last month where someone hit me. They've got the car until Friday so I'm expecting a good job. I already miss it.
