You might be right but I'll try given they have already had a second go at it and damaged the car the first time.

If the current mob have to do it, I'll push for a new bumper to be done by them off the car and just get it installed

Failing that, I'm screwed because they clearly can't spraypaint.

They have been advertising for apprentice spraypainters - maybe I got one !

    More runs

WTF!!!! Man that sucks big time. No pride in their work by the sounds of it. Feel for you and hope it eventually gets sorted.

I reckon we should be able to name and shame if there is clear evidence of shoddy workmanship but that's only my opinion.

Hope you get to hop off the that roller coaster you're on.

if it helps, its not defamation if you hold an honest opinion of what you're saying.

btw i encounter bad repairs on my car too. cloudy patches below the clear coat and while taking pictures of that, noticed that the bumper wasnt attached properly. theres a gap between the tail lights and the bumper. sloppy work

Any opinion I hold is always honest

Until I talk to insurance tomorrow I'll only mention the repairer via pm.

Hope you get the issues you mentioned resolved.

    Cheers

Assessors saw the car. Noted issues - plenty of inclusions (dirt in paint) and runs plus poor panel fit

Waiting on next step. They were meant to call later today - nope

Assessor agrees bumper needs respray, Q respray as well, List goes on.

I have requested a new company.

Car still drives like it always has done

if it's any consolation, i dinged my car on the weekend - reverse sensors didn't pick up the low corner of a garden edge thing... which was unfortunately reinforced with steel so i have a tiny spot of missing paint... not too worried since the bumper is plastic so won't rust, but don't want moisture getting under the paint through that hole so trying to get myself a little bottle of rising blue touch-up paint.

would be an eyesore in CW but hardly visible in RB... let's see how helpful the dealer is

Well, I am being sent back again to the repairer, now have to wait for them to contact me. They assured my insurance that they would put things right.

More time off work and more time without the car. I dont hold much hope for a decent job but that is the process and if not, I will then need to seek out another repairer.

Over this I have to say.

    Edit - update

    OK

    They just called.

Will be dropping the car off tomorrow morning and they will need it for two days.

The guy I spoke to admitted human error and that they will sort it out - was very apologetic.

Will be talking with them in more detail when I drop it off. Means two more days off work although I can hopefully do a work from home.

Hopefully, when I pick it up Friday, it will be a nice start to the weekend although I'll probably spend most of the weekend getting rid of buffing marks and swirls ....

    Fingers crossed.
