    At the repairers now

They admit too much paint on edge

Will be wet sanded and polished. Bumper will be removed

They also will have to put touch up paint on front bar where they scuffed it going up a ramp

They said it hadn't left the yard but I had photos before and after of the speedo - 5km (went for wheel alignment)

Not letting them do anything other than touch up on that

    Doing it now

Love being back in the car despite all that, especially in this wet weather

Great to hear your on the road again. Shame you had to QC the car and get them to rectify it. Makes you wander why they couldn't see what you pointed out to them before the car was handed back to you. Wet weather down here too today!! Have fun!!

    Bitches love fridges.

jk, the excess paint is pretty bad in your pic and I wouldn't have been happy with that either (though I don't know how close-up the shot was). check the odo when u pick the car up and make sure another 5km joyride hasn't been taken...

question, had some bumper work done on my car and when returned there are a couple of cloudy patches below the clear coat. its black so the patches are pretty obvious in sunlight.

should i live with it or bring it back seeing the repairers are 45mins away and i'll be out of the country next week for 3 months. dont want to be too anal here but the car is only 8 months old

Excess paint still there and living with it.

They will just stuff it up. They had s go without much success

A respray will cause more issues

Better more paint than not enough

First day I got my GTI I had someone in a white car open their door on mine. Luckily it polished out.

A few weeks later, I was parked at a construction site and I believe a tradesperson taking a ladder or something off their ute accidentally bashed it into the front of my bonnet causing a nice little deep dent. Not overly noticable, but I notice it every time I look at the car, and it did remove some paint so I am getting it fixed.

It's booked in at Shipstones at Bowen Hills tomorrow. I'm also getting them to knock up a set of schmick perspex number plates to replace my dodgy bent ones (a reluctant encounter between my previous car and a concrete retaining wall left them worse for wear).

No worries, your pain is our pain. I would've been just like you if I were in your position. None of us like to have our beloveds damaged or hear of others dealing with damage to their beasts. I'll leave you alone now so you can get reaquainted with your fridge!!
