Just got a scrape along the side by an old mate who doesn't know how to reverse out of a parking spot with a car next to him. Got the drivers side rear guard, bumper and also marked the Talledega. The guy said to get a couple of quotes so might take it to Curran's at Lidcombe and Exquisite at Granville. A friends brother is a painter at Exquisite and I've heard they do good work.

A few years back when my Subi STi was new, my wife badly scraped one of my rims. I wasn't with her when it happened and she freaked out because she knew I'd crack the ****s. So she sneakily went to a panelbeater and they fortunately had an exact same (without damage) spare wheel which they swapped over. I didn't notice any change and she didn't say anything to me about it until about a year later! lol

Apparently the panelbeater had a laugh at her wanting to do it on the sly without me knowing, they must get it all the time. Maybe that's why they had a spare.

Well it had to happen eventually, got my first scratches on the R today I can't believe it, a double whammy! The first was from a bloody carpark gutter. Thought I was just far enough away but it scratched the underside of the front spoiler on the both corners. That I can live with as you can't see them and I did it myself. The one that is annoying is the scratch on the top side of the left passenger door. Two little 1/2 inch long deepish scratches. I think they must have come from a damn 4wd that was parked next to me in a car park. I only noticed them later in the day.

Oh well it could be worse. The Mrs doesn't know why im so upset, says they are hardly noticeable, but they are to me. Not sure how easy they are going to be to get out. Had to happen eventually, just sucks when it does as you spend so much time trying to make the car look nice and keep it in top condition then some dumbass in the carpark carelessly knocks their door into you.

I seem to have a 'thing' with doing some sort of damage in the 1st week of owning my cars.
1st car: forgot to put the handbrake on and hit a coolant sensor off when it rolled down the car space...didnt notice it was missing till the engine flooded during peak hour at rhodes on a 3 lane road.
2nd car: parking in a tight underground car park I was too focused on missing the 100k merc next to me so I forgot about the massive concrete pole and scratched the whole rear quarter of the car.
3rd car: back outta my garage for the second time ever I scraped the rear left denvers on the garden bed.

Made a hell of a mess to my passenger side front panel and front door!!
Poor mirror was hanging by its wiring ((
And now have to drive around for a month with the damage because the panelbeaters around Perth are too busy with all the Hail damaged vehicles we have from a really bad hailstorm we had late last year (
What makes it worse is the D%^* blames me for his blindness!!!
Edit: FINALLY fixed....happened on New Years Day, got it back on Friday the 18th of March!!!
That was the time from accident date until it was fixed...actual repair time was 2.5 weeks

Damn. Seriously, 4wd's should be outlawed or people who drive them go for a special licence. They have no place in the city. Way too big for suburban streets and the people who drive them are usually the insecure type or ones that have baby on board stickers.
