At the repairers now
They admit too much paint on edge
Will be wet sanded and polished. Bumper will be removed
They also will have to put touch up paint on front bar where they scuffed it going up a ramp
They said it hadn't left the yard but I had photos before and after of the speedo - 5km (went for wheel alignment)
Not letting them do anything other than touch up on that
Doing it now
Love being back in the car despite all that, especially in this wet weather

First day I got my GTI I had someone in a white car open their door on mine. Luckily it polished out.
A few weeks later, I was parked at a construction site and I believe a tradesperson taking a ladder or something off their ute accidentally bashed it into the front of my bonnet causing a nice little deep dent. Not overly noticable, but I notice it every time I look at the car, and it did remove some paint so I am getting it fixed.
It's booked in at Shipstones at Bowen Hills tomorrow. I'm also getting them to knock up a set of schmick perspex number plates to replace my dodgy bent ones (a reluctant encounter between my previous car and a concrete retaining wall left them worse for wear).
