Time Display RNS510 only ?

Was looking at a video on youtube and noticed that the radio screen display on the mk6 GTI had the time displayed, and the radio was switched off.

is this a feature on the RNS510, because it doesnt appear on the RCD510,when switched off. i checked the owners manual and couldn't see an option for enabling it.

my passengers get annoyed they can't see the time.

Tell them to get a watch as the RCD 510 doesn't support this yet and even with the RNS 510's you need to load firmware version 2660, 2680 or 2700 or later.

no Maverick, I think that mfl is saying that they have the RCD-510 and so are asking if it can be enabled on that like it can be on the RNS-510.

I don't know the answer - so I hope that you or someone else does.

2. look at your watch
3. you getting there faster anyway, so what's the problem
4. who cares

Ive seen the RCD on YouTube with the time displayed so there is hope for you mate! hehe

Any more news on getting the time to display on an RCD510?

I like your line of thinking! My usual response is;

All features contained within this vehicle, are for the exclusive use of the driver and the driver only. Any function that may be "in view" of any passengers shall be deemed purely co-incidental and in no way allows said passengers to express their opinions in any way, shape or form.

I agree. who the hell put the radio in the centre, now the missus has control over it
