    Throw Out bearing problem

I've started to notice grinding noises on cold start, initially thinking might be the wheels.
however took it to vw dealer, and confirmed wheels are perfectly aligned and has heaps of clearance.
after extensive research, it seems to be the TOB problem....

Has anyone had the throw out bearing problem on the golf mk6 yet?

not heard of any issues... im sure when you got to the dealer car was hot and unable to demo the noise? best would be to leave the car there over night then return in the morning to do a cold start with the tech so you can demo the noise so they know what they are trying to find....can be hard you you dont know what your looking for....

Yeah i just did that, luckily they replicated the problem.
However, they are awaiting for VW to approve the job. I think it actually requires a fair amount of work.
    eg. clutch, pressure plate, bearings.....

thats lucky.. so many people leave there car to be fixed knowing that the fault cant be reproduced but still expect it fixed... some of the bigger or unusual jobs do require abit of extra time for permission etc from vw.....VDUB....
