    Suspension clunk

Twice in the last few weeks I've heard a very loud clunk from the front end. Both times turning a quarter wheel to the left and under light throttle. First time I thought a large stone had flicked up but the second makes me wonder. Everything else seems fine and no issues on hard acceleration on turning left since. Any thoughts what I should be looking out for? Other than large stones....
    Looking for:- RS4 B7 Avant.
Current:- Amarok V6 Sportline; Mazda CX-9 Azami AWD
Previous - Mk 6 R manual; Mk 7 R manual; Passat 130 TDi Wagon. Mk 7.5 Wolfsburg Wagon.
