Sunroof dead!

so..I have been having a problem with my sunroof.
One day it decided to simply not work anymore and wouldn't even open.
Took it to VW, they did something, checked fuses, diagnostics etc. Problem fixed.
Then it stopped working again, so I took it back.
It has been going on 3 times now over the course of roughly 1 year and it has stopped working again!
So, the question is, what could be wrong and have any of you out there had the same issue?
Maybe my sunroof just doesn't like me?

Thats a shame to hear - but it could be something really simple like a dodgy/broken wire that only connects intermittently, or similarily a dodgy plug etc. Issue with these is that they can be hard to diagnose and/or pinpoint the location of the fault.

If its something like a dodgy sunroof knob/switch or a faulty sunroof motor then this could likely be easier to diagnose, and easier for the dealer to repair.

Providing it is still under warranty, just leave the car with VW to let them figure it out.
