Stop start fault with Engine Management System light on

    Hi,

I am having a bit of trouble with my Mk6 TDI DSG golf.

Last week the "Check Engine Management System" light came on and the MFD displayed "Stop Start Fault" (In a carpark with the foot just taken off the brake). Turned the car off/on and all okay.

Today on the way to work it happened again 3 times in about 10 minutes (highway driving at 110km/hr. I had cruise control on but it kicked it out of cruise and back to manual.

It has had "Check Engine Management System" light on twice in the last 6 months for the O2 throttle sensor. But they said nothing came up on diagnostics and I don't think they did anything.

Booked in to be looked at by the service centre tomorrow (it was next week but I moved it forward as it is reoccurring but I'm still a bit concerned about driving it home tonight.

    Has this happened to anyone?

Does your bluemotion (stop start) function?

Yes. The bluemotion (stop start) still works perfectly.

This error occured once while driving slowly through a carpark, and 3 times on the highway driving at 110km/hr.

Well the service centre checked the car. Problem was with the throttle sensor again.

They took out the accelerator pedal and cleaned the terminals again.

    And washed the car.

If the pedal has been replaced already then it needs new wires run from the control module down to the pedal itself.

The pedal has not been replaced. They just cleaned the contacts again.
