Not really. The stiffer and lower suspension of the Sports Pack makes the car more responsive to steering inputs (and throttle adjustments) but if you accept that the car will roll and turn in a bit softly, the standard suspension hangs on just fine and quite possibly does a better job of maintaining grip in bumpy corners.
My missus has a 118 with sports pack (leather), sunroof, and a few extras. Problem is it still looks a bit bland (I know some will disagree)
Nice car but by the time you spend all that money you fall into the old trap of wondering if you should spend a bit extra and buy a GTi.
