To make matters worse, Burson Auto (store I brought the parts) recommended these pads, subsequently they want to charge me a $25 re-stocking fee to get a refund. To me it's a clear case they stuffed up and supplied the incorrect part, at no point did I request a specific part number for the pads, I relied on there expertise and recommendation. It's not so much the $60 for the pads but the stuff around it has caused which gets my goat.
How annoying. Get the Remsas and you wont look back. I had them in my Mk6 R and now have them in my Mk6 GTI and they are excellent.

Apparently the Remsa pads are a bit dusty on DBA disks, yet i have them with stock VW disks and they are much lower dust than the stock pads. Another option are the ATE ceramic pads which quite a few people on here use.

Have you contacted Bendix directly to verify the partno (and therefore prove that Bursons stuffed up)? Unfortunately the Bendix web catalogue is next to useless (which is no surprise for that lot).

I would strongly recomend you talk to site sponsor Brakes Direct for a recommendation on the brake pad. I have an inkling that Remsa & DBA slotted don't play well together. Both good products but I know some users of that combo have had issues.

Thanks Brad, I need to wait until I get home and I can confirm the part number from the box/receipt.

I spoke to Brakes Direct late last week and the DBA/Remsa combo is what they suggested.

To close off this thread - new pads fitted and all is good.

    Thanks for all the suggestions!
