Have it scanned to see what the missfire counter is reading. These are known to have the odd coil pack or injector issue.
Also look into running an intake cleaner through it, like Subaru Upper Intake Cleaner, or the similar product that Liqui Moly sells.
I ran the Nulon foaming one through ours the other day, idle on start up is so much better, might be a placebo, but it runs a lot smoother as well, coincidently, it's easily getting 700km to a tank these days, I think it's just pure coincidence with the timing of that though
I had the missus on the accelerator pedal and I squirted it through the intake where the breather goes into it at the manifold itself.
