Friend has brought a second hand GTI in black, looks good, he lives at Bondi in Sydney and wants to know the best place close by for servicing his new baby?
I changed the thread title to NSW Service Centre Recommendations...
If it's in warranty and he wants to have a dealer stamp in his book, then the answer is, whatever dealership is closest to his house or place of work.
Another alternative along the coast line is European Autotech at Mona Vale which is an independent who specialises in Euro cars including VW/Audi
Derek's done work for many forum members, including me.

Hi,
My car is up for it's 45k service and I'm a bit reluctant to take it back to my regular dealer (in Sydney) as the 35k service cost me around $750 which I thought was pretty steep.
Just wondering what other's have paid for servicing?
Thanks.

my 30K was $650 ish from Chatswood Classic
I merged you thread here since you're kinda asking where else to take your car, and even if you're not, it's related to NSW. If you'd used the index you would have found this already, but you'd also have found a thread there where manol had listed the 45k servicing cost of every dealer and independent in VIC, as of May 2011.
