^what he said 2x!
I don't see any GTI though
That is so cool!
Can anyone translate what they're saying from around 1:37 to 2:10 in the 3rd video?

Its when they're putting the rear centre light in. My rear centre light is really dull and the VW dealer I've taken it to have apparently ordered another one and said it needs to be replaced. The concerning thing though is, they said my car will have to go into a smash repair place for it to be done as the whole boot has to come off for them to get to the light. I know its a MK6 in the vid, but it looks pretty much plug and play? Surely they wouldn't have to take the entire boot/spoiler off just to replace the light? Sorry for the slight thread hijack...lol I just remembered when I was watching the vid.
It's funny you should say that. I stumbled on these videos because the third brakelight in mine was misbehaving. The bulb fail light came on with the MFD message "Check third brake light". Its intermittent and a percussive repair temporarily fixes it. I will take a picture of the surrounding area on the car before I take it to the dealer.

The only model that needs the spoiler to be removed is the GTI and R32.
The other models are all straight forward to remove.
And neither model needs the whole rear boot removed.

Thanks Maverick!
Glad to hear it won't be as involved as I anticipated.
cme2c, I hope you get your's sorted without any issues.
Mine hasn't reported any errors in the MFD, surprisingly it was noted by a VW tech apparently when they were driving it out of the workshop.
It would be super if VW includes a DVD of each major steps on how your car being born. Thanks for the link.
