Yeah mate i have been trying to sell it. Ive had it on carsales for about 2 weeks now and Ive only had two people express intrest but just ended up time wasting.

So ive been in discussions with people and lowered the price down to something abit more reasonable.

Im simply trying to get feedback from people to see if they think the car is priced and the description is okay.

I did see this when i started looking for a VW, if it was a 5 door i would have been all over it.

haha ill take that as some postive view.

Im looking at a new car within the next 1 - 1.5 months, so im hoping it gets a new home by then.

Is there anything I should consider changing on my ad? or maybe add or remove something all together?

Any help here would be great.

This is why buying a 2dr limits your market, I don't know too many people who refuse to buy a 5dr GTI but I know heaps who simply cant buy a 2dr due to family commitments.

Good luck with the sale though, the car looks very nice. Maybe you will get more bites after the financial year when people have tax returns to spend.

You need to be really patient. I understand your frustration. It took me 2 and a half months to sell my one year old XR5 Focus. You need to watch what others are advertising and try and compete on price.
You have to remember that people want to pay at least as possible. Everyone's after a bargain.
The options listed will make it more appealing than an average stock one.
One negative might be that it's 2 door, but it's well optioned and serviced.
    Good luck.

I thought the price was alright. In fact I was trying to work out what must've been wrong with the car for that price. As mentioned 3-door is probably the problem - either that or the Fridge White paint (joking)

From my previous carsales lurking, the price is attractive and communicates that you're a serious seller. Be patient. It may take longer because it's 3 doors but with ACC you've got a good chance of attracting a keen driver who might be more concerned with spirited driving/track days than the convenience of 5 doors.

    Good luck.

Edit: One thing I'm always curious about is the reason for selling. I know that these days everyone posts 'going overseas' and very few actually are, but when people are selling a 2 year old car I'm always curious. If it's a legitimate (e.g. moving, upgrading, a baby) and fairly demonstrable reason then it may put paranoid minds (like mine!) at ease.

And thank god you didn't put 'One lady owner'. Every second ad has this these days and when you look at the contact details below it always has a male name haha.

The best one I like is 'moving interstate' , they don't have cars in other parts of the country? lol
I recently sold a 1 year old car and didn't list any reason for selling it, and no one asked. But..... they did ask what age group I was (old lol), the feedback I was geeting is that thay didn't want to buy from a much younger person.

Good point regarding age. I'd be much more comfortable buying off someone older than a young guy.

Call me a snob but I also check the suburb. If it's got a bad rep as a rough suburb then I won't even bother.
