I wouldnt touch a 118TSI, you are asking for trouble. You might get lucky, but chances are pretty slim. Go for a 90TSI (great little engine and much more reliable) and with the cash you save, get it remapped (which takes it up to 110kw so basically the same as the 118TSI) and a set of mags to make it look better.

    Otherwise get a 103TDI diesel.

[QUOTE=nat225;1093215]I am willing to bet with my big HUG against all your heavily geared 4 Brisbane rental properties + your tracktor Range Rover Evoque that you would not say a word or even a letter like that prior to the sale of your GTI [QUOTE=nat225;1093215]

That may be, but now with the Mk7 well and truely established in the marketplace and the Mk6 deemed to be getting long in the tooth (a bit like the old man in me which is now in a comfortable prestige diesel soccer mum SUV as oppose to a fully sic hot hatch), I cannot see these cars fetching more than $30k even for the best ones, provided they want a reasonably quick and easy sale and not wait for months....

Love the dogmatic views on all things Vw and Audi too haha But each to their own. I am over 30 now and prefer the comfort and economy of my diesel SUV, not to mention the high driving position

what a load of self denial.

I have only seen one driver spinning out 180 degrees in a Scirocco R during a VW Driving Experience day with an instructor in the passenger side and that was you You must have done seriously bad driving to do that!

may be that's why you are now scared of driving anything rather fast.

100% agree. Read far too many things that put me off the 118, so went for the 90 in manual. Saved coin and zero issues to date.

After 3 months of searching, I have finally managed to buy a car. A very good deal too!

first thing it needs is a good wash!

That's a good price for a 2012/2013 model with a few options and low km's. Well done. Nice colour too.
