If you're selling privately I'd offer both as options, will depend on the buyer.

If trading no contest - Denvers back on and move the Momos separately. The dealer will often pay less without the stock rims back on.

I just wanted to get your opinion. I brought the golf I was earlier talking about in this thread. Love the car!!!
I got it in November however in January I was offered a role over in Singapore for at least two years....

Therefore I have been deciding if I should keep or sell the car.

Could be due to Redbook giving the private price guide as $21-23.5k only. Most people will be basing their buying options on that..

As a starting point, it's a fairly lousy advertisement. Less than half the advertisment is about the car & its' features / reasons to look at it

Didn't LucasR pay <$20k for his Mk6 (admittedly double the km). I just think $30k is too much for a 3 year old car that was probably $40-45k new. Does it have any Warranty left?

You migt get somewhere north of $25k but you need to get some lookers & that ad won't do it. In fact, it screams "I'm desperate, come & lowball me"

To be fair Lucas paid wholesale, which pretty much equates once again to the Redbook value funnily enough.

But agreed that $30k is way off the mark, anything over $25k is going to be a good result.

If you don't mind let us know the outcome, would be good to keep track of actual resales rather than advertised prices, although can understand a lot of people aren't keen to share their pain.

My non-car enthusiast friends would ask what is an MDI & what is DSC.

My God-father was one of the most successful car salesmen in Australia & he used to tell me "sell the sizzle, not the sausage"which I think means tell them why it will benefit you, not what it is.

As a benchmark, I sold my 2011 white GTI DSG with 18s (no other options) which had 22kms for $28.5k in Feb. As yours is a manual, it will be worth less and probably have a much narrower market unfortunately. I have seen some Mk6s go for even less than mine with lower kms and also newer with same or more options...
