I saw a grey one on the m4 a week ago.. It was a TDI.. Gave the guy a wave, and he looked SMUG as ever! hahaha

None in Adelaide yet - so I was told by dealer on Saturday. Dealer possibly test driving in Sydney where it appears cars are already running around.

Could not provide any GTI details - costing or delivery information.

THe official release date is the 26th, i saw a few of them at SY's holding yard, along wth Passat CC's and Skoda Superbs.

Not been confirmend but there is a robust (ute) around somewhere too in hiding before the motor show.

Just make sure if you buy one from Camberwell VW that you check that the Aust. compliance plate matches the vehicle. That's where Cam's (my son) '07 Comfortline was originally delivered from and they obviously didn't do a real good pre delivery inspection on it before handing the keys over to the owner. It had a number missing from the compliance plate and had been registered in Vic. for 18 months before we brought it up to NSW and tried to re register it. The dealer I purchased from was pretty hopeless, Camberwell VW couldn't give a s#!t when I contacted them asking if they could help and VW Aust. well, we won't go there, needless to say it would have been easier to get the neighbours cat to organise it all, and probably quicker.

As has been stated.

Mk6 Golf & Passat CC will be officially released at the end of the month.

The poor old training department are run of there feet at the moment cause the highly paid marketing department thought it would be a good idea to release two car's at once.

But the training people have to take up the slack & try & get as many people as possible upto speed before the release for not one model, but two.

& it's a 4 day course!

One of our blokes was up there last week.

Also the GTI has been sceduled for around August for those that's interested.

No pricing has been set, so it's all rumour's!
