I've hot my first hurdle... There is no listing of which fuse is which in the manual or in the use box.
So.... who knows which fuse is the airbag in an R?

Hmmm. I don't have a MK6 Golf manual, so I can't check for myself, but I'd find it very strange if there wasn't a fuse listing there somewhere.
They have the listing and diagram in my Polo manual, the MKV manual, and obviously the R36 manual since it's already been commented on in this thread...

Yeh the manual says something like 'since the car is still under development at the time of printing we are unable to provide fuse locations....'

Anyway I rang the dealership and they were quite helpful. They said I dont need to pull any uses, simply disconnect the battery and wait 10 minutes then I am good to go. However he said I will be left with some error messages which I will need to bring the car in to have cleared (at my own cost).
So I went and tried, and I cant for the life of me get the airbag off! I can clearly see the clips with my mirror, and can easily lift the clips, but I just cant pull the airbag out. When I wiggles the airbag the clips wiggle too, so I know they are connected to the bit I am trying to pull, but it feels as though there is something else holding it in there.
So I gave up and reconnected the battery, and sure enough I am left with several warning lights that wont go away.....

I am levering the grey 'hoop' like piece down so it is clear of the silver tab behind it (the white thing is just a sticker I think).

Wow I haven't been to VWWC for a coupla weeks and I nearly missed this GP! I'm definitely gonna order a set just can't decide on which colour. Initially I thought black like most but maybe silver would be a nice touch? Did anyone get a pair in silver?

Thanks. Looks like he doesn't actually own a golf yet so cant get any pics. Do you have any links to good pics of the silver ones? There are plenty of good black ones here.

    Edit: Found one!

    Silver S2TPP Replacement Paddleshifters

This page is good as you can go up and down the page and compare silver with black. After due consideration I think black is defiantly the go.
