Received mine today, ordered on 6th August - 10 days for delivery to Melbourne.

Just installed tonight, following these instructions:
    http://www.s2tpp.com/vw-instructions.html
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUO38Ilsf_I

    Some HOT tips:
    Don't need a Torx T40 on my 2008/9 GTI, only T20
Mechanics mirror is worth it for the airbag clips
Step 5 - here - is annoying... there are two tabs around the centre hinge (you can't see it in the pic) - the obvious one and another behind on the 'button' side. I used two screwdrivers at once here - be gentle with the tabs, I reckon they'd break really easily.

Well worth it guys, and it's easy to DIY - and the airbag didn't go off.

Anyone done this on the R36, would be interested to know about clearance with the stalks?

Apom, I received mine today too. I will get around to installing them in the coming days.

I thought about stalk clearance a little over the weekend when I was using them all a lot - wipers, indicating, and cruise control! I think they will be OK if the cruise control stalk is flicked to the "off" position... something I discovered on the weekend after over two years and many many uses of cruise control.

I think it was mentioned earlier in the thread on the Golfs. I noticed the other day in the R that the factory RHS shifter is already very close to the stalk. While it didn't bother me, seems like it was poorly placed given how much room they had to work with?

    Help needed.

    Hi all,

Firstly thanks for all the hard work re this group buy.

Need a little help before ordering paddles. Looking for someone in Melb especially the South East suburbs who may have already fitted these, to assist in fitting same. Bit of the old arthritis in hands these days prevent me from doing any delicate work. Would be very happy to provide reasonable compensation for help.

If there is any kind soul out there who may be able to help, please let me know.

    Regards,

    Wowser.
