LOL!!!! I did notice a little less gap there but nothing that would cause any major issues...

The thickness of my finger is 2cm from top to bottom and they hit the stalks, it's not something that stops you from changing gear but after a while the novelty of changing something for the sake of it when it actually provides no real benifit wears off I will be changing back to stock and chucking mine up for sale soon.

I guess there's a reason why VW went with the design they did....

Yeah, I gotta say, first thing i thought when i saw how big they are.
I think constantly replacing springs due to the weight to keep that springy feeling would piss me off also.

    sometimes bigger isn't better.

There were group buys on another local site much earlier than our one. In addition, Oettinger have had a similar product for quite some time. I've never seen anyone complain about having to replace springs, let alone "constantly" replacing springs.

The only comments I've ever seen are people stating that strong springs may give more tactile response. But even those posts are often followed up later by the same person saying after a few weeks of use they don't think its necessary...

    well,
seemed to be a few who were not totally satisfied with the end result after fitting.
Also seemed to be a few returns due to a bad batch with overspray issues.
great to see seller offered prompt returns, obvious sign of a reputable operator.

But, for me they looked way too big and i thought at the time there would be some practical issues when driving.
For those that got them and love em, that's Great.

FWIW, I thought this too, given I have big hands and was worried I'd end up hitting them accidentally sometimes... I've had them on for a couple of months and haven't had a single issue with them.

pulled out a set of digital vernier calipers and on the left side the gap is 17.56mm and on the right side 20.04mm, not sure why there's a difference in gap but that's how it is, nothing on the left side appears to be preventing the paddle from being pushed in further and it appears to be seated correctly.

If you have "big hands" and measuring my middle finger it's 15.27mm in its largest part then you may have issues with clearance, mind you according to google the average American male "ring finger" size is 20mm so REXman you must have little girly fingers.

Oh these paddles look great! I'm getting my new R36 today and this is definitely a mod I'd be keen for. Hopefully another group buy will come around sooner or later!
