They probably checked your DSG in neutral (or just looked for error messages.)
My guess is that the clutch controlling low gear isn't initially fully disengaging.
Do you see a low idle speed when it vibrates?
Hi Guys,
Anyone experience this, I have a Mk6 GTI DSG, when i come to a stop at lights or traffic there is a little bit of vibration you can feel it on the arm rest and through the wheel
If you pop the car in Neutral then back into drive we can feel drive engage but the vibration is gone and feels as smooth as it should.
I do a bit of peak hour driving and it is most annoying, had the car checked DSG is all solid and no issues there is this just how it is or should i investigate further?

I recently had a Polo DSG for 5 weeks as a loan car. First long term DSG usage. I noticed that you need to depress the brake pedal beyond a certain point for the ECU to disengage what I would call clutch slip (in preparation for egress from the curb or lights) Pushing the pedal a little farther I could feel the car 'relax' and put itself into a neutral.
Maybe you're not depressing the brake far enough? or that switch isn't recognizing the depth you've depressed the pedal.
Thanks will give that a go. Can't notice any change in idle. 1 out of every 10 stops seems to be smooth and i notice it i more often when coming to harder stops so the brake pedal may be worth investigating
See if it makes any difference with the AC on or off. I've noticed a slight vibration as you've said, which goes away when putting it into neutral. Turning the AC off seems to make it go away. May be bearing in the AC compressor starting to wear a bit maybe? I haven't worried about it because it's only just noticeable. I'll keep an eye on it.
Thanks all it is all to do with how I brake. I normally lift off the break and come to a very slow stop when i do this i get the vibration. If I come to harder stop and don't lift of the brake at the last moment the stop is smooth. Guess it has to do with how the clutch is engaged when i come to a slower stop. Anyway had the the DSG checked out and all good so guess it is something to live with. Wondering if doing a DSG reset will help it learn my driving style?
Issue is engine mounts, and possible dsg adaption. Got the same thing. Going in tomorrow for it to be fixed. Pm me for more details.
