    I doubt it's a quirk as there are others that have the same characteristics. Even our Tig is the same yet with the Mk5 style steering wheel.

    As mentioned, my friend with her 90TSI Golf was the opposite, she could "chirp" the horn nicely. She says it's because she uses it a lot in Melbourne

    Well I would assume the pad is kept off the contact plate by 3 or more springs, you could always pull it apart and downgrade the springs!

    Maybe buy some dumb bells? If the horn is an issue to press... Its a good horn and sounds like the BMW "**** OFF!!" horn.
