I'm changing the Horn on my RS as soon as I get it. If you heard the RS250 horn Renault are now using in Lieu of the Fiamm Dual note horn that came on the 182/172 and clio 197/200, and the old meganes (AND VW Golf's) you'd understand why.

You and I differ quite significantly

It would be the same as steering wheel as yours, with the multifunction buttons on it.

Title of the thread does say it all, hence why I named it just that! I use it quite a lot, whether it's in a friendly or angry way.

And the Polo's. It's a baaaaaad horn (not that my car has the same one).

I'm changing it because I like the sound of the Hella Super-Tones (TubeYou it).

I've noticed the same with mine, tried for a gentle BEEP and get a BAAAAARP. I've come to the conclusion that either the computer or a relay will only give power to the horn for a minimum duration..... based on no facts, just my fertile imagination ...... sound silly or what!!!!!

Good point Greg, instead of tooting the horn I could lob a can of HTFU at them through the window!

This thread is ALMOST as stupid as the guy asking what gear to pull in to impress people in his car.

To be fair I have some uprated horns from Hella, and they are good for the odd time you want to let someone know you are there. Seems to get the point across!

I've no trouble with the length of beep from the horn but it is a little tough to push. But not really any different to the MkV from my experience. For shorter blasts, try more towards the edge rather than the centre maybe?

It might come as a surprise but in most states you can be booked for using a horn for anything but a warning
You know you are getting old when you cancel your order for a 3.6 CC and buy an Icelandic Gray TDI CC instead.
