All fixed. Runs like a dream. The difference is very noticable. The purge valve N80 was full of gunk and was stuck open. VW fitted new charcole canister and purge valve under warrenty. Just a shame that it took 4 trips to them to finaly fix, but in there defence each time it brought up the fault for the purge valve but when they tested it it worked, or so they say. Now for the Bluefin...

any reason why bluefin. u do know that bluefin is detectable if u try to unflash it, and u have had warranty issues, so u can pretty much kiss any further warranty claims goodbye if u use bluefin.
whereas apr can be flashed back to stock without being detected. a lot of people rag on apr, but that feature alone makes it invaluable if u have warranty issues that might arise

Bluefin because they are half the price and vw racing uk use them. My dealer has said that warranty is only voided if the tune has caused the damage or fault, bluefin say that if the tune has caused the damage or fault they will fix it. I know apr is probably the best but cost is a factor. Thanks for the warning though and advice.

fair enough, its just that i have a mate that had an issue with coil packs and spark plugs at 30k km and he was running stg 2 apr. took all the parts off, reflashed back. took to dealer, they asked if it was flashed, he said, nope, they took the car and fixed it no hassles.
he then got the car reflashed again.
now, whether the tune, etc caused the faulty coilpacks and fouled plugs, its up to whether the dealership wants to ok it. then u start getting into a back and forward
