Regarding the 'can't fit RVC and OPS together':
I know the Golf is capable of doing it together (have seen plenty of videos to support that). My only guess was that retrofitted RNS510s didn't have enough inputs to support both. Perhaps an additional adapter is needed.
Would love to have the rear camera and/or OPS but the installation seemed far from easy. If Pepe can do it in under 12 hours without screwing anything up then I will be quite tempted to do it myself. Either that or I could drive from Melbourne to Sydney and spend $1800 :p
Hehe, the paddles wouldn't be too useful without fingers.
Hope it all goes well next weekend.
Hey Ryan_R. I've little knowledge of the physical hardware differences between the revisions of the RNS510, however, I saw on a AskaVWSalesGuy video that the ability to display RVC and OPS together came with a firmware update to the RNS510.
Now, this doesn't mean that you don't also need a certain revision of RNS510 or that there is some contingency with retrofitting, but I thought the information may be useful.
They are the videos I was referring to (I'm one of his subscribers)
Not having the RVC fitted when I ordered my car is one of the small regrets I have.
However I cannot be stuffed having the car pulled apart to retro fit the cabling etc.

RVC is one of the things I like most about my car, apart from the detroits and awesomeness of a 6 speed manual 2.0L turbo. I don't know how I will ever go back to parallel parking without it. Good luck on the retrofit.
