    VCDS info here: http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/foru...ary-50749.html

    DSG Tune info here: http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/foru...ram-73662.html
There's also another company that does similar for less $$$ but I don't have the link handy

Easiest way to make the DSG do what you want is to practice using tiptronic mode, makes things much better

My dealership did a software update while replacing the waterpump..... I didn't ask for it and was a little annoyed that it had been done but hey, it's better than ever. I will say that they possibly did it because they have placed the clutch pack previously.

If you are having issues with the shudder then I'd be taking it to a dealership and getting them to look at it. According to one dealership I have spoken to the clutch etc being replaced is considered 'normal'... Yep that what she said 'normal'... Go figure.

Yep the original clutches (or part thereof, shim rings or something that sounds like that) have been found to be not strong enough and since about half way through this year VWA seem to have realised that it's a common issue now.

I would say have VW look at it and do any updates before looking at a DSG tune. A tune would be written from the software in the gearbox. So changing shift points etc isn't going to modify the base code, think operating systems and applications. New application same old OS.

I recommend that man above for a DSG tune (and ECU too while you're at it)

OP has take off delay issues not shudder, most likely it would be software related.

Before you jump into a DSG tune though there are things to be considered. It is a performance tune and aftermarket, it's a bit of a controversy with the dealer and warranty. But it will make your DSG shift faster, smoother and respond better. Effects are best with an ECU tune too obviously (should make your 77TSI feel much more powerful) but it's probably a bit much for you to take in all at once since you are not familiar with this kind of thing. Cost should be ~$800 for DSG and ~$1k for ECU tune, if you don't go with APR / Harding

I already have Stage 1 and sprint booster which makes accelerating much more immediate, but have also noticed more small improvements by using VCDS to turn down hill start assist so that the brake hold releases earlier, recommend you try it.
