    Rear Washer Drip

I noticed something with my mk 6 GTi.

At first I thought it was a one off thing but every time I push the car hard around 5k rpm the rear window washer drips.

Its always doing this, doesn't matter if i'm going round a corner or just accelerating on a straight.

    Anyone has any ideas??

I got mine fixed under warranty (as per the TSB using the correct parts) but it didn't seem to fix anything... still leaves a water stain on the rear window.

Waste of time taking it to the dealer really, as they didn't fix a rattle I wanted fixed either

Anyone else had their washer supposedly 'fixed' but still suffers from the water dripping? At least my dealer found & fixed one of my rattles.

So I ran it down by running the wpiers on the front for a few minutes and the leak has stopped. It seems way too simple a fix, but it has worked.

The last leak I had from the rear washer was in early Feb and I drive it daily.

I'm hoping that is the solution. The dealer found nothing (of course) and told me that sometimes the washer in the nozzle takes a while to 'seat' and it will then be OK. Who knows? It's a bit shocking though that after 34 years of making Golf hatches that a hatch washer is leaking.....

I'm now onto the dealer about the creaking in my door rubbers - driving me nuts over any bumps or uneven cornering. You'd think the car was so flexible you could bend it with your hands the way it sounds. I've read that BMWs can have the same issue and some greasing could fix it. Let the experiments begin.....
In regards your squeaking door seals, I'll start a new thread with a solution.

    Hi all,

My new Golf R seems to be suffering from the rear window drip. I've had the car since December and it's only started happening during the last two weeks and during this time I've not touched the fluid level!

Anyways, I guess I'll have to get in touch with the dealer. Interested if any other Golf R's suffer from the issue too.

My GTI drips during hard acceleration as well.
It's quite annoying because it leaves watermarks on the rear window.

I took it to the dealer and they said they'll need some time to have a good look at it. I didn't want to schedule my car just for the washer leak so they'll have a look at it on its first service (7500kms).

15k service came up, I mentioned the drip again and this time they've agreed it's a problem. Booked in next week for the replacement (waiting on parts apparently).
