If the 24mm bar is adjustable get that and adjust it to suit your style. I have an adjustable on on my Polo and it's not killed me yet. Just be mindful chucking it about in the wet if you set it to hard.

I really don't know for the Golf (I have a Octavia) - I fully agree with Gavin's post

I race a FWD car (Nissan Pulsar 2L) so I'm familiar with what happens when you modify them and drive then HARD

There are plenty of examples where people put a hard rear bar on a FWD car and have had a nasty accident

I would err on the conservative side and go with 22mm

Yeah that's what I am thinking and then up it to stuff setting if it's too soft. I wish there was a hollow to solid comparison on torsion without getting to technical.

If the front is 23.6mm hollow that's gotta be pretty close to 22mm solid.

I don't drive to crazy and don't track but last thing i want is to under judge a round about in the wet and throw the car out.

as long as you have practiced (on wet skid pan and not industrial roads at midnight) and get used to catch your rear end, you'll be fine.

if not, below was one of my early experiences on lift off oversteer:

having said that, for public roads use and if you love driving on the RNP and Macquarie Pass, I wouldn't set it like how I set mine for track

Yes - lots of good info, facts, details, warnings in that thread

You can do a search on YouTube for "left off oversteer" - there are plenty of examples
Here is a Polo example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lVxkP6aJjTs

Yeah just read that and posted to but think I know the answer... 22mm is best with stock as anything higher would limited to using softest setting unless I was to do the front. However going FSB I could possibly get a 24mm and that would match good with a rear 22mm. I really don't want to be swinging out like in the Polo vid... fun on track/skid pad but not on a normal road.

Where does one buy one in Oz. I've seen on sparesbox.com but anywhere else?

for H&R sway bars, orange tuning germany does the best prices world wide to oz. shipping is even cheaper than sending sway bars interstate.

    Orange Tuning

for superpro sway bars, ebay or sparebox will do.
