If you click the link in my signature, it will take you to my car diary thread. Plenty of pics in there of the car that you can look at, although not sure if the camera picks up the differences in colour.
I find it most noticeable when parked at night in a carpark, and the fluro lights are shining on the car. Fluro lights are great for picking faults in paintwork. During the daytime, i cant see much of a difference, but in low light situations its more noticeable.
A little bit off topic, but a couple things I find interesting-
When panel beaters are realigning the front of a tiida after a decent knock, they have to leave the front slightly out of alignment, or the panels don't line up. Sure enough, after measuring a couple brand new ones, it turns out the front is out of "square" from factory.
Also, one particular holden dealer I know of has a certain $$ amount allocated for repairs on each brand new car. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if this were true for most, if not all, new car dealers
Interesting...crack up that the Tiida (bloody dreadfull car and stupid name isn't it) is out of whack from the factory. Why on earth you would go away from the Pulsar name that was so well known and highly regarded is beyond me. Not to mention the look of the Tiida....only a mother could love it.
When I picked up my Tornado red GTI after repairs due to it being 'two bobbed' I noticed a definite shade difference between the repaired quarter panel and rear bumper. Panel beater then an insurance assessor then a mate who 'knows cars' all told me it was due to the plastic bumper bars never matching panel work exactly. Really annoyed me then and still does that I have a two toned car. No one else seems to be able to see it btw.
