It might be worth trying a new bulb all the same, you can't always see if they're blown or not contacting properly.
Hi,
I have a 2010 VW Golf TSI 118, and recently I noticed a warning light lit up on the dashboard. I checked the manuals and the car and found out that one of the tail-lights is not working.
Interestingly, after checking the light - it was found that the light bulbs were intact. Also the bonnet was opened to check the fuse and it appears that none of the fuses were blown either.
Just wondering if there could be any other reasons for the tail-light not working?
Also, since my car still has 3 year manufacturer's warranty, do you know if the tail-lights would be covered by the warranty?
Thanks very much

MKV Golf 2.0 TDI DSG Sportline. Just nice.
+1. Also, yes, it could be something else. Bulbs aren't covered by warranty "something else" is. We had a third brake light replaced under warranty due to a dry solder in our '09 118 TSI.

Cheers for that. Any recommendations for the light bulbs - e.g. LED or otherwise?
Otherwise I'll go to the hardware store and get some.
