No No No, the washer fluid reservoir has been overfilled causing too much weight over the front axle and hence turn in pressure. This has been found to exhibit itself more when pressing on causing understeer on corner entry but you will find that even given the extra weight up front the car is still keen to follow your inputs to tighten the line mid corner. I doubt even reasonably priced Euro’s would be able to match the turn response of a golf given an overfilled washer fluid reservoir .![]()

Its most likely the tyre wear. Less tread = more rubber on the road = more friction I suppose. Can't believe I've nearly worn down a set of tyres in less than 20000km...

Keep your tyre pressures up to around 38PSI.
If they're low, you'll go through tyres like they're going out of style.
