A possible DSG problem fix? (Boron Crystalization,Oil change )

According to the investigation by Chinese government authority, some of the dsg problems are caused by boron crystallization (contained in the dsg oil).
I have no technical knowledge here, am just rewriting what I saw in English. The boron crystallization develops in heat the humid environments, i.e. hot, humid weather, and constant gear changes.
    Has anyone heard similar stories?

To prevent this, VW issues software updates to reduce the gear changing frequency. However, some owners propose to install aftermarket dsg oil cooler, while some Japanese and taiwan owners claim they enjoy significant improvement by using third party dsg oil.

The most popular one is Nutec uw-75 or nc-65 (widely used, but not found on the official website) NUTEC OIL 体感できる、超高性能オイル!

Here is some Japanese magazine posted on a Taiwan blog:
    NUTEC NC-65 (in Chinese)

Owners experience of the NUTEC NC-65 oil on a taiwan forum:
" G (blog in Chinese, photos of the Japanese magzine)

Using a premium dsg oil seems a good fix of the dsg problems. Those owners do enjoy smoother gear changing and less rattles, however the long term reliability is still under question. Warning: changing this oil may break the warranty! Personally, I think this is quite interesting.

It will most definately void your warranty, no doubt about it. I know when i diagnose gearbox concerns the 2 first things i check are oil level and oil type / condition. if its wrong oil waranty dont want a bar of it.

I can tell you also that i m from geelong victoria where it is rarely humid but i still see so many dsg concerns coming through. Interesting article i must admit and if its proving successful then i m all for it! But good luck claiming clutches/mechatronics or anything under warranty with the wrong oil is all i mean.

More likely that that is a by product of the investigation. Interestingly though that as part of the investigation by authorities around the world, unless it becomes a proper safety relate issue, they cannot force VAG to issue a product recall. When my mechatronic unit failed, if I was in an intersection when it decided to not change gears anymore and I got creamed by a truck, I guess that loss of life doesn't really count as a safety concern because it's not like I could go and buy another VW if I'm dead hey?

I was doing some random reading on dual clutch gearboxes and I came across this:
SSP Auto Salon, LLC - SSP Pro Gold Transmission Fluid VW

A different oil alternative? probably a no go on the warranty front.

My 6 Speed DSG in my MY11 GTi hasn't been too bad on me?

1 false neutral last month - 3rd gear in manual mode, had to brake hard and suddenly to avoid hitting someone who cut into my lane.
Tried to accelerate back to speed and the engine free revved. Put the gear selector back in D and let the revs drop to idle, gearbox grabbed 2nd gear and I started to move off. Someone could have hit me in the bum :/

1 bad gear change. On a day I left the car in D with lots of slow traffic driving. I slowed down to a near stand still to take a right hand turn, and the gearbox made a big clunk and the car jolted. I'm thinking it's sorta like if you try put a manual car into first gear without slowing down enough. (gear box says no, hand says yes ... clunk) ... only happened once.

Worth noting that friend of mine in the UK has a 2012 Ford Focus with dry-clutch DSG and he complains of all the same symptoms as I had before (jerky at low speeds, hesitant, etc).

Guy's DSG software + torque arm insert + turning down hill-start-assist one notch via VCDS has made my car so much smoother though. Car spent a lot of time at the dealers and the best they could do was essentially bring the car 'back in time' as it were before I had the major issues. Was quite plain that the car would eventually develop those problems again the way it was driving so tried a different route. Very happy is an understatement.

Which DSG are we talking about?

The 7 speed DQ200 dry clutch version?

The 6 speed DQ250 wet clutch one? The 7 speed DQ500 wet clutch one?
