PCV Replacement - which version of the valve is best?

2011 (July) MY12 GTI with CCZB motor, my PCV is shagged after 80,000km so it's time for a new one. Rough idle, squealing etc.

But...I'm getting confused with the sheer number of revisions and their part number suffixes, do they have any differences in terms of pressure held etc?

Current one is a 06H103495H, I *think* the latest revision is 06H103495AE or AC

Any good non-dealer locations to source them locally, or reasonably priced dealer spares departments?

Any issues fitting a later revision that anyone can think of?

Found some info indicating that 06H103495AD is the update for cars originally fitted with 06H103495H which was the original CCZ* engine code PCV

HSY do a Vaico copy. Reasonably-priced, from memory.

Has worked for me in the past. Just provide them your VIN, and they'll work out what's applicable.

I recently replaced the PCV in my 2010 Mk6 GTI. The local price was over $500 when i asked VW parts.....almost fell off my chair.

Got it from USA for $127 USD plus $50 shipping. Part number is: 06H 103 495 AC

Thanks Lucas, got quoted $262 today from my local dealer for the AD revision, so that might actually be a decent price when benchmarked against the ECS price delivered to Aus...
