    Have tried one of those before didn't work at all don't waste your money
    GTI MKV, 3 pedals >D, black, leather, K04 APR tune , APR RSC tbe, BSH CAI, Bilsteins sports shocks, H&R sports springs, wavetrack LSD, H&R sway bars, and painted that stupid looking matt black plastic bumbers and side skirts to match the paint of the car

    In fact I even tried it on a b5 a4 Quattro didn't work on that either

    so i had a mkv GTI with xenons and when i would lock the car they would stay on for 10 seconds before turning off now i have a MKVI golf R and they xenons dont stay on when i get out and lock the car can this be changing with coding to be like the MKV?

    You're referring to the Coming Home feature. Just flash your high-beams once you turn off the ignition, and when you open the door the lights will come on, and remain on for the Coming Home time set in your MFD options.

    the whole point is not having to flash the high beams which i think is stupid hopefully it can be changed

    Setting the duration is an option in the MFD. But you still need to flick your high-beams to activate it once you've stopped the car.

    Never had to do this in my R? But I leave my lights always on the "Auto" option, perhaps this explains the differing behaviours?
    Edit: ok, mixing up coming home vs leaving, leaving they turn on when unlocking for the preset time.

    Yep, Leaving Home works automatically. For the Mk6, Coming Home was changed to be manually activated.
