5. Disable DRL's (Daytime Running Lights)
1. Navigate to 09 - Central Electronics - Long Coding
2. For vehicles with Halogen (stock) lights go to Byte 15. For vehicles with Xenon lights, go to Byte 11.
3. For Halogens, toggle Bit 6. For Xenons, ???

Just VCDS my car

Byte 11 - Uncheck Bit 2
This turns off xenons light as DRL, all lights off when switch is set to 0



Byte 15 - Check Bit 6
This turns off xenons light as DRL, auto turns on lights when dark, switch set to AUTO

I went though the R again and the only thing we can change it seems is "Rain Closing Active" which I assume is the auto closing sunroof/windows when rain is detected.

Actually I need to follow that up as I sent Dana a few debug logs for the R a while back.

Can anyone confirm if the dimming of the DRL on the R can be changed under DRL Byte 24?

The license to you VCDS is attached to the cable. I can't see how the use of that ebay cable would be of any use, unless you illegal use VCDS
Anyone else know what the situation is?
