Thats a lot better and its something I am thinking about doing. I really like them.

Where do you get them and did you need seperate seat rails (or did they fit yours?) and/or was it all in the price?

    Where did you get yours?

LOL. Out of interest but Rexman won't mind me taking things off track.... how much was the Miltek exhaust and are you happy with it? They've got an R dev car and currently working on some bits.

Ideal seat Company is the authorised reseller of Recaro's in Australia. Every other reseller just get them off Ideal Seat Company.

Ideal Seat Company quite frankly are a complete bunch of tossers. not a pleasant experience dealing with these monkeys. Got messed around constantly quoting me different prices etc.

Their level of service is rubbish. Forget trying to get a discount off these guys. I'm really good at scamming a discount out of ANYTHING and have yet to be defeated in getting some form of discount until I cam across Ideal Seats. I am officially beaten.

They just seem to genuinely NOT want to do business with you. It was frustrating. You will need separate rails. It will not fit into the OEM rails. If you buy the seats with out the airbags you WILL need to sign a disclaimer acknowledging your car is no longer ADR compliant cos you removed the side airbags.. yadi yadi yada. And you will need to get some special resister kit crap to short out the warning light for the air bags etc.

Over all a painful process. But I do love the seats tho so it makes the pain worth while. My price 5600 includes fitting, rails and resistors so its not too bad

I quite like the miltek great little exhaust system. A complete bolt on system Sounds great and the power gains are actually quite decent. Ignoring the power figure from the motor magazine !! That was complete and utter load of rubbish

Jump on youtube and do a search for "Audi S3 Drag Motor Hot Tuner"

There's a video of my car on the drag strip listen to the exhaust sounds pretty decent and surprisingly its not as drony as i thought it would be considering i've got the non-resonated model

Sounds good mate, thanks. If my R ever turns up, I'll probably consider the Miltek as well.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I just wanted to clarify a couple of your items in your post.

I am genuinely sorry that you didnt have a pleasant time dealing with Idealseat Company.

I do remember your initial enquiry which I handled it and then passed you onto one of our dealers in Sydney.

Therefore you didn't have the seat fitted by Idealseat Company.

In regards to discounts, we are the Australian Importer so we are unable to give discounts. If we gave everyone a discount, our dealers would become disgruntled and we would not have a dealer network. We always quote SRP over the phone and pass you onto a dealer for final costs including fitting costs etc. So the price shouldn't vary greatly.

We use new base frames and runners so the existing bolt holes are used in your vehicle. We encourage our customers to keep their OEM seats in storage so when they do update their vehicle, they put their OEM seats back in and take their RECARO's to their new car. If you chose to adapt from the OEM frames, you will sit higher in the vehicle and in Sports orientated cars, sitting lower is usually always requested, hence the new base frame option.

In regards to the disclaimer, our dealer requests this for legal reasons, just to cover himself to say that you are disabling the air bag. The resistor should have been provided and organised by the dealer. By using the resistor, you will not have a continuous airbag warning light showing.

Everything aside, we are glad to hear that you do love the seats!

i thought idealseat handled that well.
i too have had dealings with them. ive got teh recaro sr3 seats in my honda. i needed a side bolster and a plastic trim on the side to replace one that was worn out and cracked. idealseat provided a price, but i managed to source it from the UK for substantially less for both items.
besides that, they seemed like any other business.

you can buy airbag simulators that trick the module into thinking its still there and therefor the other airbags still work
