Not see the VW Recaro's in real life. These RECARO look similar to the pictures.

I am thinking that they'd be pretty costly.

is this to put in your M3? or did you end up going with the MY11 subaru works? granted, the recaros wont come in as handy in the WRX as they would in even a GTI as... well, the GTI is a faster car when both are tuned, but at least they'll look nice....

Actually... I'm pretty sure that this model is actually much closer... but it's still not going to match without some retailoring.

Sorry to be off topic a bit BUT I'm sure one of the reviews I read on the current GTI stated that it had ' Recaro' seats. Excuse my ignorance but are the GTI seats made or designed by Recaro?

I think you're referring to the WHEELS magazine test, in which they used a 3 door R with the optional Recaro seats (sans side airbags).

The international Recaro site lists them.

I'm not sure if it's legal to retrofit, as the non-recaros are fitted with side airbags, and the Recaros don't have them
I could be wrong though, it may also depend on you local transport authority rules.

I'd find it hard to understand how it would be illegal to put these seats due to "removal of airbag" if Volkswagen are allowed to do it.
We've seen that link plenty of times before, but they are all seats you can't order from Recaro...
