Golf 7 Speed DSG shudder / clutch issues

Small update: since the dealer told me to drive with more "enthusiasm" my judders have gone away. Strange advice yes but it seems to work.

If you can drive in Sport mode once a week the car will thank you for it usually.

    Hi Ryan,

Have you had any returns of the shuddering after your clutch and mecha replacements this year?

Yes, but it could be an engine mount issue instead. Nowhere near as bad as before though thanks mainly to the DSG tune I've got.

Ah ic. Seeing that you got your clutch pack done in July I'd assume that would be the new MK7 part (apparently started in march). You would think they would have their **** together by now on the dry 7. I'm with you, theres no way i'm buying another 7 speed dsg - 6 wet all the way thanks!

I had severe clutch slippage on very slight inclines and then almost all takeoff's when the car had been running for 30mins or so.

Not true. The Mk7 GTI will retain the 6-speed wet clutch, and there's even the possibility (based on press reports) of the R keeping it too - although I expect it'll end up getting the high-torque wet clutch 7-speed.

My MkVI DSG also jerks a bit at low speed. Ask the dealer to check it out at service and they told me it's normal and refused to do any testing.
