Thanks stelex, I thought it had to have a warranty.
All work and parts have 24 months warranty, regardless if you paid for it or if it was done under warranty.
This is from the email I received from Volkswagen Australia
Please also be advised that genuine Volkswagen parts carry a 24 month warranty (independent of the Volkswagen New vehicle Warranty Policy) from the date of purchase or installation when carried out by a Volkswagen Authorised Repairer. You should therefore retain your invoice from your Volkswagen dealership for 24 months as proof of the beginning of the warranty period. This warranty is available at any Authorised Volkswagen Dealer throughout Australia.

MY14 Audi S3 - Misano Red, S-tronic, Performance pack with parade red trim.
My car just get tow back to VW. Since last night my car is not changing gear, not even the P R N D S displaying on the dashboard. car can only go up to 40km then drop straight back to 0. This morning, i turn on the car, everything looks fine, driving along homebush bay drive...out of sudden the whole car start to shudder and clunk so badly, engine light came on, was on D7 and straight away all these disappear on the dashboard and no gear engagement. Stop on the side of the road for 10 minutes, turn on the car, now i can see it is changing gear but every single gear change, no matter is increasing or decreasing, has a very very bad clunk sound.
SIGH .....
yeah mine is 09. I currently have extended warranty which is good. VW chatswood classic only able to look at my car this Friday as they are fully booked. Guess my car will be sitting at dealer until Friday then, might give them a call Friday evening and see what is happening.
Yeah, I thought it would be an 09-er. I had the same problem, just more brutal; drive, drive, drive, stop ... end of story.
3 weeks later I had it on the road again with a new mechatronics put in. Out of warranty it would cost around $3,000 to fix.
Ask the dealer to give you a complimentary loan car.

Had no idea this was such an issue. Our 118 TSI (June 2010) has just had a clutch replaced. On the service form it's shown as
vw0am198140c replacement kit.
Is this the new clutch pack for the DSG7?
2010 Golf TSi & Polo GTI White MY12.5 - VIC
Had my first service on the 77TSI Golf with the 7 speeder today. One of the items they did a factory bulletin service for was the DSG software update.
They also fixed some washer on the actuator or something.
Overall, I thought it felt smoother, but wife didn't think the gearbox was jerky before this.
