Yep, I thought VW was in the bussiness of making cars that are reliable and to a high quality. What I hadn't noticed was that they are in the bussiness of making money - selling cars is how they do it. When you get a consultant giving such a responce to a letter to Anke Koeckler you realise that they're working to the minimum legal requirements.
If we're to get action on this we must begin three pronged attacked.
The Dealer - Who are the front line.

This should occur on the third attempt to repair the issue.
Explain the issue as you see it with the car.
Describe the activity VW has carried out through the dealer.
Describe the cost to you, ie time off work, tolls to get to dealer, extra fuel consumption and worry.
Describe the potential saftey issue as you see it.
Keep the language civil, and to the point.
The only way a recall and final fix would occur is the scale of the issue is expandede to those who can put pressure on VW Australia to put out the recall.
People who have broken down in traffic, or found them selves stuck in traffic or other dangerous situations.
I love my golf when it goes well, but something has b done about DSG issues.
...Came across a fix to the issue, thanks to VW USA...
"The company will extend its New Vehicle Limited Warranty to cover the DSG transmissions affected by the customer service program and the voluntary safety recall. This extended warranty is for 10-years/100,000-miles, transferrable to subsequent owners."
