Hi all,

took delivery of my new golf today. two questions would love input on.

1. after 100km coolant level has dropped below min at running temp. Im sure at the pickup it was above.
2. Manual on page 263/64 has about 1/5 of the page torn out.

would you mention to the delivery dealer? or wait a few days.

I'd call the dealer and ask them to order a replacement manual. They should also top up your coolant, or give you a bottle of the VW G12++ coolant concentrate.

Ordered a white MY13 5 door GTI with DSG, bluetooth, MDI, sunroof, detroits and reversing camera. Should get it in a couple of weeks. Paid less than $40k driveway which I was very happy with. Leaves a bit of money for a Viezu tune!

Do you mind if I ask where this was? I know it was a couple of months ago, but any haggling techniques used?
They didn't want to talk about anything less that $42k with no options today!

Possibly they're not willing to discount since they forecast not being able to sell GTI's at all for a few months when the MK6 runs out and waiting for the MK7 to arrive.

I price shopped between dealers.

$42k with no options is ridiculous.

Very very excited! Should probably be more gentle when driving it but the DSG upshift bang is addictive!
