Thanks, yeah i test drove heaps of cars too, i loved the soild feel of the golf, sadly it doesn't have the sports package, so I'll have to upgrade the wheels soon, they just don't work for me lol

Supercharger noise i can deal with, it was the engine's blowing up, or losing power that got me worried.
