Well, sorted it out I think.
Would love feedback on the following. I've read through the MY12 thread (the only one I could find) and one other person had a similar situation but they ordered just before the MY12 changes were communicated officially.
I placed an order with the dealer very recently for a built Golf R with specificed options.
Since then, that vehicle was taken by another dealer (another story) so we confirmed another built Golf R and now ours, on the boat.
Now, here is where I am looking for feedback. We were told (and listed on our contract) that MDI and BT were options but the build date of the confirmed vehicle makes it a MY12 where they are standard. I am assuming the dealer will now remove those as listed extras and we wont pay for them. One option (ACC) was not available so that will also have to come off. If this is indeed an MY12 vehicle, surely the dealer should have known they were standard and we should not be charged for them ?
I am tracking the vehicle and it is on the Fidelio, due in late August. Build date 22 June 2011 (which is MY12 I hope)
I guess I should have done my homework and known what was standard and when MY12 kicked in but I relied on the dealer ...
Pretty cool being able to track the boat. Makes the waiting fun although cant imagine what it must be like waiting 6-8 months ! (mind you, I did wait 5 months for a vehcile I bought a few years back, a Subaru of all things)
