It should only take about 6 months for a GTI judging by recent posts in this thread... but better to tell you longer than it'll really be and then over deliver, than tell you it'll only be 4 months and it take 7...

QFT...!! Not sure I would go the wait distance next time around.. the Golf R will have to be orgasmic for to wait so long again

Toreador is nearly there SF. My car should be sitting on the dock now but no idea what's happening with it! It feels worse than the ship disappearing for 10 days!

Not as bad as ringing the Dealer and the best they can offer is delivery date 3 days before end of month..

At least you know for sure you will get it then they will want their cash in the dorr for the month of May

Ordered mine 18/12/2010 - picked up today (7/5/2011). 4 months 19 days.

Thanks Corey. The Polo has been great, but just sitting in the Golf GTI I knew I was home again and 230 klm later had confirmed it. Polo is unhappy as it has been kicked out of the garage for the first time. Wife is happy as she now has the keys to the Polo.

I went to dealer early this morning to see how close my car was, as it was unloaded from the Manon late last month. They checked the Patricks website and told me that it was in transit. Therefore, i should have it by the end of next week, sweet i thought.

Anyhow, when I was leaving and driving out through the back of the dealership saw a white GTI, with rear sensors and 18s. Could that be mine, only dropped off this morning and not updated on the computer? I stopped the car and walked over to it - front sensors, cloth, sticker with Manon - all looking good. I pulled out my phone and checked the VIN..... It was mine!!! pick up mid week. Woo Hoo!!

Finally.
