Well believe it or not Jan to now has just flown by in a blink of an eye. I think the last few weeks is where I'll have to try and hold my nerve. I'm looking forward to meeting up with fellow melbourne dubbers when I get mine. And yes being on this forum does help while waiting.
Golf R, Rising Blue, 5 Door, DSG and some extra fruit.

price also includes corporate discount!
I'll give you my suggestion, slap another $5K on the table, and get an R.
(Metallic paint, Xenons, 18s are all standard on the R).
Then at resale time, you'll have an R not a GTI worth $9.5K less .
Im only suggesting it cause you are going all out on a GTI, you really might as well get an R.
A DSG R with;
-ACC
-Leather
-Dynaudio
-Sunroof
-MDI
Could be had for $58K. Then you can be safer in the wet and have the nicer car. Win win.
The full tank of is petrol is normally included everywhere for all types of car. The tints cost about $200 so do it elsewhere if its not negotiated that way.
Best advice I can give you.
Good luck!

hi guys, i've had a MKIV GTi for a while now and am looking to trading up for a MKVI GTi/R and was wondering the options you would suggest some other cars i was looking at was the skoda Octavia or megane rs 250, some suggestions would be nice, cheers.
Thanks Mate, I will think about it! Appreciate your suggestion. Cheers,
01mKIV,
I test drove Gti & RS 250. Two different cars!
In my opinion, RS 250 is a complete sports car, very powerful, fast, amazing pick up but small and interior is not very nice!
On the other hand, Gti is a great everyday car. It has less power compared to RS250, goes really well, handles well etc etc...
If i were you i would go for either gti or R. (Probably R)
Depends on what you want and your requirements and ofcourse pocket!
Cheers,
thanks Schan, but a couple of my friends have owned rs 182 clios, with a surprisingly low amount of rattles and rather nice interiors.
I'm yet to test drive the RS250.
I have read reviews on the gti that say it's dull & understeery, and when i drove it felt less involving and more dull than my mkIV, but the build quality is on par with my mkIV and has much power with which to keep up with knobs in M3s
