Is that allowed in NSW? I would do it too but, pretty sure VicPol would ask you to cough up some revenue if they saw the sticker there!
Otherwise I usually chuck it top passenger side corner of the front windscreen.

Yes, in NSW and QLD (I haven't checked other states), your registration sticker can be on either the front windscreen (passenger side) or on a passenger side fixed window. As this is a 3 door car, there is no issue at all with putting it smack bang up against the B Pillar. This means it's located in a position where the driver cannot see it from their seat... i.e. no blocked line of vision. A 5 door owner would need to put it next to the C Pillar on the small fixed portion of the rear door window.

Technically it's not meant to be behind any window tint - however, in 12 years of placing it there behind window tint, I've never had any issue, including after being pulled over by police numerous times (some random RBT, some random other things). An advantage OF having it behind tint, is that when the year is up and you need to remove it, it very easily peels off, sometimes without even leaving residue, as the tint shields the sticker from UV and heat and it doesn't deteriorate like it does on the windscreen.

No problems at all. I changed one label for 8 years on the same spot in one car. No issues or even scratches! As it's behind tint, the label doesn't deteriorate and it's literally a case of just carefully lifting one corner of the label with a finger nail, then slowly pulling it off at a 90 degree angle (same way you'd take any stickers off a cardboard DVD box set etc). If there is any residue left, you can usually remove it by sticking part of the label back down and pulling it back off. If needed, a little bit of eucalyptus oil and a old cotton t-shirt can be used to remove any left over reisdue - then follow by whatever brand car glass cleaner you use, then put on the new label!
