took delivery of R recently - well worth wait.
Love the exhaust note in S when downshifting.
Scared I will lose licence before properly run in.
ACC definitely makes a difference in S mode and I am a big fan of bigger wheels for added grip.
Had a Golf V before and VI dynamics are heaps better.
Annoying lag in D but will live with it until APR upgrade.
People can keep their Focus, Renault and 135's - this car is awesome IMHO.

Because its only a software upgrade most insurance companies don't care (RACV don't) - but there's other threads to discuss that.

Had the GTI MkV Golf and before that a 2L FSI Golf V.
    I'm totally VW'd
The R is by far the tightest and most responsive and I'll do the APR after the 1st service ( blown budget )
I have an UG , with ACC, BT,sat-nav and RVC,leather seats ,S/R and 19"wheels and loving the DSG.
Could not get to test drive the manual but in this modern day and sitting in traffic alot - the DSG is definitely the go.
Only disappointment with kit is I feel the 2011 should also have included a start button and electonic hand-brake - otherwise very happy

Rarely do we see smokers going back to petrol. Was there any particular reason? I pick up a cs GTD next week. Sold my 2.0 TDI privately

Ouch, that sux. What was the reason given to you for the huge delay? And is the reason acceptable to you?

I suspect I am in the same situation. Initial ETA is end Mar but no word from dealer yet as to that is happening or not.
